The GMR 434 and 436 xHD3 open-array radars combine high-definition imaging with Garmin’s advanced radar platform, offering superior weather, obstacle, and traffic detection. Designed for offshore mariners and anglers, these radars provide exceptional clarity, range, and performance in a robust 4-foot or 6-foot antenna system.

POWERFUL LONG-RANGE DETECTION

  • Detect targets up to 96 nautical miles away (25 kW version)
  • Commercial-grade 100-knot wind rating for durability

ADVANCED RADAR TECHNOLOGY

  • New Scan Averaging Technology – Filters out sea clutter and interference for clearer, more consistent target detection.
  • Improved Target-Size Processing – Optimized on-screen object shapes at all range scales.
  • True Echo Trails – Displays historical trails of moving boats, reducing relative motion distortion.
  • High-Resolution Radar – Narrow horizontal beamwidth and high antenna gain provide sharper target separation.

SPLIT-SCREEN DUAL-RANGE DISPLAY

  • Auto Bird Gain – Detects bird activity on the water’s surface to help locate baitfish.
  • MARPA Target Tracking – Track up to 30 moving targets to enhance situational awareness (with compatible sensors, sold separately).
  • Guard Zone Alerts – Set a safety perimeter and receive alarms when objects enter the defined zone.

ENHANCED NAVIGATION CAPABILITIES

  • Dual-Radar Support – Provides redundancy and allows multiple displays to pull radar data from different sources.
  • Range and Bearing Cues – Measure distance and direction to vessels and land with electronic bearing lines and variable range markers.
  • Quiet Open-Array Drive Motor – Reduces noise while operating, ensuring a quieter experience on board.

With cutting-edge radar technology and seamless integration into Garmin marine systems, the GMR 434/436 xHD3 open-array radars deliver enhanced clarity, range, and performance for safer and more efficient navigation.
